Things that please you...

My wife is still working from home and sent me a picture of our dachshund (Turbo - after the animated snail) sleeping on his blanket under her desk.
 
Got dark overcast weather in Joburg at the moment with no rain. Hope it will rain today and/or over the weekend.
 
Getting more of my tax money back by not paying R3k for my sons 6 week vaccinations but finding a pharmacy who sources government supply.
 
The fact that it will be overcast/rainy on my drive home this afternoon... Which means there will probably not be the usual "bribe stations/aka road blocks" every 5km. (Because, as we all know, the metro police melt if they get wet)

This president is pure turd. Almost everything he touches turns to turd. He spews codswallop and mayhem. Yet this news heralds panic and the financial markets go into a sell-off :rolleyes:

My main issue with him is actually Huawei related.
He screwed up my plans to get the P40 Pro :mad::mad::mad:
 
After all the nonsense we have endured with my lad's school (grade 5, Welties), we bit the bullet and moved him to a new school. Today was his first day. It is also the first day of their 4th term.

He is bright enough to take on the challenge of the new school mid-year. He may not get his usual high aggregate, but he has time on his hands for grade 6 and I know he will excel in the new environment.

PS. He was not the only newbie starting like this today. To date, we feel justified. It costs more, but a solid education with options for our children is the one of the greatest investments we can leave behind.
