Things that please you...

Thanks ;) No more Caddy's, I had a Porsche fund going but that has been rerouted to an 11 week old's education fund.
Mine may come up for sale soonish ... #justsaying

Porsche, not 11 week old.

PV kit we purchased recently can drive the washing machine as well.

Cool.

Will look at an upgrade at a later stage, for now we can make do with what we have. And not havening to pay Eskom a cent anymore.
3kVa I take it? Nice I really would need to start this journey, but funds sigh.

3000W inverter/regulator
2x 350w PV panels
2x 100Ah deep cycle batteries

Need to up battery storage to allow fridge to run 24x7 - for now we switch it off at 22:00 and on again at 05:00. Still better than no power or expensive+unreliable Eskom/muni power.

Can you pm me brands? Need to start acquiring some capacity.

Can’t believe your fridge uses that little power.

Are you in JHB? How much did your setup cost approximately?

Would be about R45k to fill in the pool but I might keep the pool and put the money towards solar.

They have a kit that's similar, but it's out of stock, there is a slightly bigger one for R26k, you'll have to add on about 15k for installation I'm sure.
