Most places will let you leave early on the last day. They let you come in, drop off any equipment and last minute admin and let you on your way.

Suppose I could, chances are they'll have the party late in the day, I don't mind, they always buy way to much pizza, who doesn't love pizza.

My one team member resigned... I let him go home 3 weeks early for his last day.

Ja, it is for the best. Rather spend a month's salary and have him out of the way than in the way and futting things up.

The micromanaging thing probably pissed him off good enough to resign.

Yip, there were gonna be one of three outcomes. He improves (unlikely), I ask him to leave, or he resigns.
Fortunately he resigned.
 
Bought some Xbox controller goodies from Xmod.co.za, they arrived a day later after ordering, when I was expecting them next week. Also finally get to fix my sons broken xbox controller :)
