On it's 2nd power supply (installed July 2020) my Hisense 50D36P is getting close to 10,000 hours of screen time and still going strong.
The 2x10watt speakers are far superior to what you get built-in on entry level TVs these days.

Really was a surprisingly good TV, friend has been using my old one since end of 2020,not a hiccup

I have to agree. It was my first Hisense product that I brought at the start of December 2014 and it a brilliant TV. The power supply repair in 2020 was affordable and it sounds remarkably good considering the soundbar setups I am now used to.

Hopefully it will continue to give us many more years of service here at the holiday house. Will be keen to see how well my two AIM 58" TVs stack up to this. They loose in sound quality right out the box.

I did like my Samsung plasma - but those TV sure had obsolescence built it from the get go.

Yup would be good to see how long the AIMs last. So far my other 2 hisense have been going 2 and 4 years. Though that 50" is just a champ and it replaced my 46" Samsung, the colours were actually so much better on the Hisense.
Can't believe it would be almost 8 years old soon
