Things that please you...

For the first time in 5 years I am excercising regularly. First week was scary as if I pushed during cardio at all my heart rate was going over 200 which is very dangerous for my age. A week later and even when pushing I can comfortably stay under 160 and at a normal pace I was around 100 to 120. Really cool to see how big a difference even a week or two of excercise can make.

I hear you Cius. Good on ya! I need to start soon too - picked up around 4kg this past winter that I need to shake off again.

I mothballed my KLR650 engine in November 2014 when I tore it down to rebuild the entire bike. I have been reassembling it since July of this year every time I head home to the farm where the bike is (in pieces). Today was the magic moment when I installed the fuel tank and battery to see if it would start.

Took the spark plug out, sprayed some Q20 into the bore to lube the cylinder walls a bit, reinstalled the spark plug and cranked like my life depended on it. After about 15 seconds the engine roared to life with much aplomb and smoke. What a great sound and an all round fantastic feeling. I rate another weekend of hard work and I will have it up and running again!

Cup of Earl Grey with hunny after a long day at work.

Actually, I've still got work to do tonight ...

Well SOMEONE had to take the cooler box with the leftover beer in it home... :D

The best chocolate caramel cheat day cake ever! I have been thinking about it everyday since. I am done experimenting and rolling the dice on something new every week and I am going to go to the same place and order it on a weekly basis from now and guarantee my happiness...yum!

When you don't have to pay levies, water, etc for 5 months because the idiot metre readers had been misreading and the council overestimating on those false reading. Then you submit your own readings and find you're a few 000 in credit :)

After a year of chasing companies to get fibre put into my complex with no movement at all, things moving at a rapid pace now. They trenched outside the complex and they have completed the site assessment. Fingers crossed that it's a matter of weeks now.

Nice. Glad it's working out for you. I am in that "no movement" phase now - have had 2 providers fail me, and I am tired of nagging, so have decided that 4 meg is enough for now.

Eating a meal and not feeling like a murderer afterward. You cannot put a price on a clean conscience.
