Woweees. Going to be a major adjustment for him (and family) . With mom just being 2 weeks in hospital, I realise how well they are geared to take care of patients and having routine.

Yep yep. Have my issues with hospitals but Netcare Milpark and their nursing staff were very good throughout the last few months.

Old man just happy to be sleeping in his own bed again, said he’d forgotten how the house looked lol

That looks amazing! I was going to show this to my wife but I will get bliksemed so hard if I do.

She is currently on a dairy-free diet to see if it helps our newborn cope with his reflux so stuff like this is verboten.
Does it help that it has orley whip (non dairy)? We'll just not mention the caramel treat and the chocolate ;) Hang in there though, maybe next year for you!

Yup, the Orley Whip is based on palm oil IIRC so it's totally safe, but unfortunately the stuff inside the peppermint crisp and caramel treat is not.

Makro sells this whipping cream as well that is delicious on sweet tarts and puddings, I think it is sold in a one litre pack (both sweetened and unsweetened) and it apparently whips to 4x the volume. Highly recommended as a substitute if you are in need. I think the brand is called Meadowland.

Thanks, that's good to know! I haven't even tried whipping the orley whip for this recipe, just mix with caramel and pour. Plus zero space left in this dish, no more volume required hehe.

A freshly applied screen protector.

My old one broke after I bumped the phone against the corner of a coffee table. I ran naked for a week or two and managed to pick up lots of hairline scratches. Bearing in mind it lives in a pocket alone, with nothing else inside, or on my bedside table. So much for Gorilla Glass 6 being scratch-resistant.

My S23 ultra with invictus glass got fine scratches and that also only lived in a pocket. Got the official screen protector, screwed up the first one, but 2nd one has been great

Maybe we should start that ‘phone sock’ trend again.

I’ve become pretty good at applying these tempered glass things lately. Trick is to do it in a humid environment, like a warm bathroom after a shower. The dust particles get trapped by the steam, so there’s less chance of them ending up between the protector and the phone glass itself.

The S23 one came with dust remover stickers, cloth and you apply it from the middle out. The first one as I was applying it dust got on the screen :(
