Things that please you...

Managed to set up wordpress from scratch (as opposed to using a wordpress prebuilt VM)

Bit more complicated than expected getting apache to do what I want :o

☑ Multiple wordpress installations on one VM
☑ VM free
☑ SSL working
☑ Google analytics up and running
☑ Cloudflare reducing VM load
☑ Cloudflare analytics working
☑ SSH pvt/pub keys working (yay putty)

Pretty good for a grand total of zilch cost (well except the domain name).

On a roll with this considering that I've never created a website before. :D

Now all you need to do is wait for all the tech-impaired relatives to inevitably come crawling out the woodwork for you to help them with their tech queries
haha nah...for bragging rights I would first need pageviews that are uhm...not me

But yeah pretty pleased with the technical execution. :D

Well done mate. I wish I could apply myself like that and make stuff work. I sadly lose interest very quickly, which is why I have unfinished projects in Eclipse, a Raspberry Pi that is basically just updating my dynamic DNS, and a VM with Windows Server that is idle at the moment...

Whatcha building a site for?
I'm interested in Amazon's affiliates program. This is a trial run to see if I can even generate *any* money - just need >1USD pm to be profitable.

Probably won't go anywhere but if it does...I'll just rinse & repeat. If it makes 10USD a month that would be grand. :o

haha you're not alone. I'm leaving a string of unfinished projects in my wake too. But my 100% reliance on salary as sole income stream is annoying me. So the need for a side hustle provided motivation.

Ground away a good portion of my MTB pedal today on the tarmac, sparks everywhere! Got some funny looks from the local joggers a bit in front of me :D
