Things that please you...

Not being sick.

I'm as sick as a doge.

It's the smell of chemical defenses and first aid. The fresh, “green” scent of a just-mowed lawn is the lawn trying to save itself from the injury you just inflicted. Leafy plants release a number of volatile organic compounds called*green leaf volatiles

Fu cking murderer!

I live to mow. I put my bluetooth headset on so I can't hear the grass scream. Roald Dahl would be proud.

Driving through the early morning Karoo landscape while it's icy cold outside with some nice road trip tunes jamming through the speakers :)

The death of a bullfighter.

That reminds of an old fighting game called Fatal Fury Special. One of the bosses is a matador and you can launch him into running bulls.

There was one guy who played it and always screamed "die dood van n matador"

I was very pleased and really inspired on Saturday when I saw very good looking ladies starting alongside with me in the A-seeded bunch of an extremely tough 75K MTB ride. Most of them finished before me, but it was such a joy to be overtaken by them. I'm an old alcoholic so my performance has gone down the drain.

I consider these ladies to be demi goddess' because not only are they very hot, strong and fit, they also know how to handle their equally sexy hardware.

^^were they the two posting in the "Things that irritate me" thread about old alcoholics who ride bikes? :D

Arsenal winning the FA cup in a bad season.
South Africa winning the ODI by 7 wickets.
Takumo Sato winning his first Indy 500.

:crylaugh: I was stone cold sober on the morning of the ride, but it went "down hill" from there.

Forgot to add that I have never come across a female rider that is as cocky as the guys, they always ask if you would like to pass if you catch up with them on single track. Personally I believe they are the only riders that should be allowed in those toight pants - baggies will do for the rest of us.

^^Se ek ook, niemand will daai knopie sien. Sies! :crylaugh:

^^ Ja, I think I made a post about that in the other thread some time ago.

Seriously dudes, we have plenty of good MTB baggies available for cheap. There is no need to keep on riding in those ghastly voël verklikers. Had it not been for mine this weekend it would have been obvious that I was more than just inspired.

That, and getting to work at 6:30 and you have a full 90 minute of working without interruptions while the sun slowly starts to creep out from behind the mountain. Bliss.
