Things that please you...

When you need a pee so bad it becomes the most pressing issue in your life and you finally release it - it's like your biggest worry has just disappeared and everything is alright.

A brown hyena standing beside the ruins of an abandoned diamond mining settlement has earned (South African; my addition) wildlife photographer Wim van den Heever the title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

Spending the evening watching Neil Diamond videos with my wife. We miss you MTV.

A tidy server room.

Chucked a lot of cables etc out... now things are neat and tidy again.

And everything's working. One or two users got disconnected by accident, but those niggles have all been sorted out.

And nothing got broken. Sadly. Hoped the cleanup crew would cause some major damage to some old servers...

ah well... onwards we go...

The funniest thing we've had. We needed an old set of server racks cleaned up, the cables were spaghetti junction, I mean they were like that 10 years ago when I started here.
So the original guy who did that cabling came in and moaned about the terrible job that was done and how could anyone do this, we're all like chuckling to ourselves over that.

Nice photo, well done but didn't you have the heart to tell them that it was just in JHB?
I didn't even know just picked up stompies from a friend; took 10 years and used a trail cam type application I believe.

I can tell you that my missus and I went to Chicago tonight. Had a lovely supper on the way there. Tickets were a gift from a kind lady my wife has been looking out for. Blessings to her. Beautiful evening and safely home.

My 5 month old kitten ventured up a tree for the first time and did not know how to get down. Spent nearly 30 minutes trying to get him down, lol.

He's allowed out every so often under supervision for a frolic around our small walled in garden. He has been with a relatively short time, but we love him so much.
