Things that please you...

Depeche Modem?

Is that like a US Robotics Sportster?
lol, not quite :)

This is a Mexican filmmaker exploring the Mexican culture's relationship with death with songs by DM in their 2023 tour. I think it may have been prompted by the sudden death of Andy Fletcher in 2022.
A Film by Fernando Frías is a 2025 concert documentary film directed by Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frías de la Parra. The film chronicles English electronic music band Depeche Mode's 2023 performances at Foro Sol in Mexico City during their Memento Mori World Tour.

Daughter and I enjoyed this in Imax in a near empty theatre. There were many newer songs (well performed, which we enjoyed) and some of the old favourites. Lovely evening made all the better by enjoying it with my daughter. She rocked her old man to shame :D

Working with your hands. Spent a few hours in the garden deweeding and touching up a few things.

I recently done an oil change on the project bakkie I bought and found it to be highly rewarding. Gave the engine bay a bit of a clean as well.

Watching some old Mnet Idols interviews on YouTube. Hilarious and awful most of them

Climbing onto the scale to see I have dropped around 8kg since August.

Although not sure how much of that I can attribute to the stomach flu I had last week and how much is actual weight loss from cycling more lately

So you can absolutely smash the christmas dinner this year

My vote is for stomach flu, how much weight can someone who is 1.2m tall really lose?

Will be watching this again (from a distance). Some of the planes fly over my house usually but I can also see some of the other stunts from my garden :)

Another shameless shout out to Nossa Casa in Little Falls. It's (more or less) a two monthly treat for the family. The food and atmosphere is always amazing. It is busy, but vibrant for young and old. I really think that it is the management and staff who take it up a notch. There is not a single visit yet where the service was not outstanding.

We cancelled a booking last Sunday because I was unwell. Two of their managers asked me today if I am feeling better. How do they remember these things? Corrupted by my daughter and wife, they even had them sing for my birthday (belatedly). Oh man! They pretty much chat to everyone coming in or leaving. Stella and Michael, you rock. Until next time.

My domestic worker will be travelling by airplane to Durban and staying in accommodation (hotel?) for the weekend. It sounds like she/friends have saved for this for a long time now. Her first flight ever. It is a once in a lifetime experience. I am so stoked for her.

That's so nice, I always wonder what it's like for people flying for the first time.

Will be there, haven't been to an airshow in years
And? Did you go? How was it?

Because from my house it was a pretty quiet airshow compared to previous years. Don't know if it was because of the weather.

This plane made a u-turn literally directly above my house (think it made 3 flyovers). Sorry for shaky vid and poor quality, had to run outside and almost missed it :/

Started to raid pretty much at this very moment too...

Only saw a couple of other stunt planes in the distance doing loops or whatever.

Besides the rain and crowd not to bad.
But spent two hours trying to get out :(102621898.jpg102151093.jpg43577487.jpg
