Things that please you...

The way native Brits pronounce "motor" as in motorcar.

Certain syllables get swallowed up.

"That is a lovely moe-er."
There are like 50 accents in the UK, plus who are native Brits? The Anglo-Saxons, the Norman's, the Romans, Celts, Picts, Goedic?

This will be the year I start aggressively getting rid of this kak.
Go for it and enjoy succeeding in this war. We are aggressively paying off a smaller amount, but getting it done before I am forced to retire. So far, we are making good inroads.

Setup old Sony HTX8500 sound bar in my sons room, at 14 he's laying in his room listening to rock from the 70s through to the 2000s. LED strips across the roof, led light pole going as well.
Problem the sound bar has a bit of oomph vs his normal portable speakers.

1/2 Interviews for today, my pal Claude & brainstorming. talking points etc.

Prompt + job spec + pdf file I was sent + initial mail + meeting request. Take it from there & formulate.

The big one is a panel one in the afternoon.

Smart shirt goes on then off & back on & then off

Conveyancers calling you in the morning to inform you that the property you sold has been registered minutes ago at the deeds office.

Son got me bluetooth ear buds and whispers for father's day, not super expensive earbuds but they aren't bad at all, no active noise cancelling, but it still blocks out most noise.
Niece got me slippers and a bag of bite size bar ones :)

Driving to work today, remembered a meeting I had in 2016 I think.

IT department work was 95% done but the CIO just was not happy with our performance.
Got a manager to "manage" us.

The morning speech got to a part where : "When I was working at a mine, I used to reload at least 30 machines a day".
Colleague straight out said : "If you had to reload those amounts each day how kak were you at reloading"

:ROFL:Stuff like this really stays with you.
Still with me

When I go to tell my boss what I've been doing and planning on doing and he just goes okay.

This is in contras to the usually argumentative & dismissive responses I get.

Also he shouts, and he is 80 years old, I'm afraid he will shout at me one day and it will be his last, then it'll be my fault.
