Things that please you...

And the award for the best comment I've seen in years goes to this guy, on a Video of someone performing aerobatics

50 ZAR haircut & shave done and dusted. Ready for another panel interview in the morning.

Got my STAR-based working example in back pocket. "Solve a business problem" vibes mos.

I already know what formal shirt & bum track-pants to wear, AirPods all charged up, zero distractions.

Good luck dude, I hope you land it! The best advice I can give you is to not say too much ... number one mistake in interviews is to trip over your own words.

Wife saw an electric toothbrush and heads on a clearance sale at a local Woolworths so chucked them in the shopping trolley. Get to the till and they rang up a normal price so the teller got the manager to fix it. Got home and checked our slip, they buggered up and charged us R0 for both items. I went to sort it out this afternoon to get some good karma, explained to two managers that we weren't charged, one looked at our till slip and realised the error. Said they were on clearance so it's fine, we can have them, good karma.

Uggh, the STAR interview technique.

Back in the day I was unfamiliar with it until I mentioned my upcoming interview it to a work colleague the day before it was scheduled to take place. (Job was unrelated to your field). Must say it worked like a charm and helped me land the role.

Said colleague became my boss later - what an insecure cow she became.

Anyhooo, back to you, all the best Fiesta! Hope you land this one.

Thank you.

I am just expressing the point of business at the top ie. formal shirt & party at the bottom ie. comfy pants to move in.

God bless remote interviews lol, the last time I was unemployed circa 2008 these things never existed lol

Every single interview involved dressing up, traveling cost, waiting, added stress etc

My lass attended a short intro, welcoming to the employer today. My impression is that they care about the people who may join their company.

It is dependent on her final results, but this meeting just motivated her so much more. Just another positive reinforcement of her desire to succeed. Kudos to the company.

Had an extremely productive day today.

- A 40min (+) panel interview (WTF) in the AM. 2 Ladies/Girls, 1 Cup = scenario after scenario. The more of these I do the more my confidence goes through the roof. Solve a business problem, what value do you bring vibes.

- Got the fundamentals off the ground for a side hassle with a former work colleague, he (owner) is very happy so far. I'm driven af to make it work as I will get a bigger piece of the pie.

- Still found time to schitpost here  :giggle:
