Things that scare you

Knowing I'll have no internet in a few days cause my LTE is due for cancelation soon cause fibre is still being installed in my brand new complex and that'll take a few weeks still

Employability.. making something of experience.

In the past people actually gave a crap if you had a degree, could think and troubleshoot etc and then could actually deliver too. Nowadays it seems people focus on theory only even for staff with lots of experience and a history of delivery but then also want to pay nothing. Meh.. so while i am revising CS2/3 work in depth also planning on leaving SA because why work for a crappy little company in SA that underpays by international standards? I mean whats good for the goose is good for the gander.. i.e. test like international companies then i expect to be paid as much fool.

What worries me though (yea, book theory is something u can just read so worries no-one.. yes.. try and get someone to do the same with efficient delivery though) is making something of the experience gained over the decade plus. It seems like domain knowledge is a waste and so questioning what careers have value these days. Seems very clear to me that unless u in the c-suite in Sa, you wasting your time.

Think of the poor sod who have to work all by himself in the single crane at the Burj Khalifa when it was constructed...

Leave me there for 30 minutes and you'll never be able to use that crane again. I have a world of respect for those guys. No money in the world would convince me to even try that.

Heights
Snakes. I saw the trailer for Sekiro Shadows Dies Twice and saw a f**king huge White Snake and thought "here I go again" and filed it under games to never play.
Poor white people
Flat open plains. Not agoraphobic but I always feel like something creepy can just pop up out of nowhere.

Nope.
Just existing for eternity. does not sound cool to me

I'm sure the after life, if it exists, will have an off switch. Otherwise I agree with you - most intellects likely to go stark raving mad after the first million years or so.

just evacuated Menlyn Maine mall for bomb threat. Not scarey at all. And I still had to pay for my coffee

Not even that
Just
What do you do? You are dead. No body, nothing.
If I can't take my PC along with high speed internet and all the latest game releases as they release, why even keep existing?

Terrifying.

Ah, but maybe the afterlife is like a VR game and it's got PC specs that would blow your mind!!

Being dead I won't have a mind to be blown.... or anything else than can be blown.
In all seriousness.
In freaks me out.

I wouldn't waste any time in this life worrying about the next then. You could be enjoying games.
