I am off to Warmbaths (forever resorts) in 2 weeks time ...

Is there anything of interest off the resort ...?

I heard that there is a croc farm nearby that is worth the visit.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thaba Kwena (the croc farm ;) is something to see. The largest croc farm in the southern hemisphere if I remember correctly.

Don't put your head in the water at the Hydro pool thing!! Seriously!

You can go to Mabalingwe/Mabula for some game drives.
Go and watch the cheetah runs at Zebula ... or play a game of golf there (actually playing two rounds there this weekend). Take your wife to Zebula spa (book in advance)

+1 on the game drives at Mabalingwe :)

I'd rather be there than at work... eish...

You could also go check out Mystic Monkeys and Feathers (sort of like a zoo with rare species like sloths and lemurs) , haven't been there yet but I heard it is something to experience :)

Theres this spa treatment thing, completely cleans out all your mucus and stuff from your nose, I passed when I was offered but some people still raving about it, ill definately try it next time, or you can try it and advise if the results are really THAT good:p

Oh and you get a little booklet on whats available... theres alot you wont be able to it all over the weekend.

Croc farm is nice. We went and they did extra effort because we were only a group of 6 people. Went to fetch eggs while we waited. Let us hold the baby crocs. Apparently they can take off a finger.

Cheetah run at Zebula is nice too. And the spa is amazing. Spent 4 nights there in July and played with the baby tigers and lions everyday.

There is Klein Kariba. Can do swimming, quad biking, hiking, horse riding and much more there.

um, if you are staying at the Forever Resort, all you are going to want to do is stay in the hot pools. Seriously, that is why people go there. There are the public pools which are great, but if you are a resident you get access to the huge indoor spa pool which is much nicer as it is only for resort residents. Whenever we go there we just soak in the pools day and night. In fact, take some camphor cream for the cracked heels and elbows cos the pools can seriously dry you out. :)

flip, I went to this place when I was in Standard 6. Almost everything about the place was a FAIL at the time, long drive, then a que to get in even though we booked and were not day visitors! then the first hut we got had a leaky toilet, then the next one had a hole in the thatch but then they upgraded us to these shweet new log cabins so that was a good thing. The wave pool is a FAIL, most of the pools during the day are like no go areas because its filled up with the day visitor's, same with the restaurants. Then wanted to go on the 4 wheelers while waiting in the que this lady on the quad fliped over and snapped her kneck or something, they had to call in a chopper from Pietersberg or something so that place was closed, but the hydro is pretty cool :)

Last time I went to Warmbaths I got an ear infection. The water is dirty :(
