Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to get geared-up when you want to ride? I don't see myself ever getting a bike for convenience, when it's a schlep to get all the gear on before you can pop off to the shops or whatever, so if I did ever get one, it would be purely for the fun of it.

I don't use my bike to go to the shops as it's a mini-streetfighter, i.e., no luggage capacity.

However for my regular commutes, it takes me approximately 2 minutes to put my gear on and 1 minute to take it off.

LOL - so not true for both harley and bmw riders - what i have noticed though, is that some riders tend not to nod at harley riders. Not sure why though. I get more nods when I am on my twister, than when i am on the harley. :D :D

it's a family at the end of the day - I was lost once and took out my phone to check directions and within seconds I have a couple of riders stop to check if i was ok :)

it takes a few minutes and it can be seen as a bit of a headache, but i have come off my bike once, I was wearing a t-shirt (because it was hot), but luckily i had slowed down almost to a stop before i fell. a few bruises due to no Jacket, but otherwise all okay. There are cagers out there that are too busy on their phones and it is quite easy to get taken out even on a short run

That depends on what level of gear you want to use but anything from 2 to 5 minutes.
 
about 2 mins to get fully kitted up, which also gives my bike time to warm up nicely.

I went to my audiologist and had ear plugs made specifically for my ears, was expensive, but they work a charm. Apparently every 4 years i need to get them replaced as ones ears constantly grow and change shape.

Almost got caught out when a passenger opened their door in front of me, did not expect that. Also slow down when going past bus doors, people tend to just hop of those when you least expect it.
 
I'm not going to lie, I get highly annoyed by having to take my boots off, in order to take my riding pants off, but less annoyed than I'd be hitting the tar at 100 km/h without them.
 
Walking from the car park to the office gets old very quickly in summer! does not take long to start boiling and my boots squeak, so I sound like a clumping robot in need of oil when i walk through the office.
