Hi everyone

I'm looking into buying a ThinkPad E520s from LaptopDirect but I noticed they sell a model with Intel HD 3000 graphics for more money than a model with an ATI Radeon HD 6630M (with 1GB GDDR5):

ThinkPad E520s with AMD Radeon HD 6630M (R6,766.00)

ThinkPad E520s with Intel HD graphics (R7,491.00)
http://www.laptopdirect.co.za/laptop_specifications.php?laptop=48430

Their hasty response confirmed having discrete options is faster, so why is the model with onboard Intel HD graphics more expensive? Is there a benefit having the Intel HD graphics?

Cheers

Possibly better battery performance. Not worth it though for hamstrung performance.

It turns out the two models have different suppliers, hence why the better laptop is cheaper.
