This is how much money Eskom loses every second

Eskom has become the poster child of state capture and failed state-owned enterprises, and is by far the biggest risk to the South African economy.

The power utility’s debt is sitting at a staggering R450 billion, with 62% of this debt government-guaranteed.

If I was paid at the rate Eskom loses money, by the time I've walked through the door, b-lined for the kitchen and made a cup of coffee, I would have earned my current monthly salary and could go home for the rest of the month. By the time I've made it back to my desk and made it 1/2 way through my emails, I could go home for the rest of the year.

Whats up with all these negative Nancy's, that is not a loss making counter.
That should be updated to a BEE/AA/cadre slush fund counter.

Besides its Ke Dezember boss and we all know tis the season to be giving to the under privileged cadres and trough feeders out there.

Start 2020 as a true African country, begging bowls off to China so we can be owned by them.

At this stage I think we might even be better off if SA is run by China, They'll probably put us through re-education camps first... but then we'll all be productive non-citizens and at least out of the stone age.

If we had a faster internet connection, will Eskom lose more money?

Basically in rural area's Eskom does not lose that much money. Perhaps the article even never finish's loading.....

madness, sheer madness,

but one can put the same counter onto SAA or any SOE.

Should do that on state, SOE, gov, MPs etc

Imagine that tracking with graphs and political fall out with individuals named and audits missed with responsible people named and shamed..

Would likely result in riots..

Then again this is South Africa.. likely have more people eyeing presidency haha

They would sort this shithole out in 6 months
