This is so sad

I was looking at the price for the Sigma EF-530 DG Super at B&H and saw that it's going for $219. That's around R1970 ATM. Locally, it's retailing for R3300. The sad thing is that cost of importing this. They charge $82 (UPS)and then of course I would have to pay some TAX on that. With the final price, I might as well get it locally. It's really sad, because if I didn't have to pay such hefty import costs, I could be getting it for half price

I know - if I didnt claim VAT back I'd have to rely on people coming to visit.

BTW - they do offer cheaper shipping options - I was more than disappointed with the way UPS handled my last purchase from B&H.

I don't mind taking the cheaper options, but I think we both know how unreliable they both are
