This is what you should know about Disney+

Disney+ has garnered significant attention following its launch in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands on 12 November 2019.

The streaming service offers users a large database of popular movies, shows, and originals, and is seen as a competitor to streaming giant Netflix.
 
I won't be surprised if Disney end up buying Multichoice
 
Additionally, fans who want to watch anything owned by Disney with an age restriction higher than PG13 will have to use Hulu instead.

Why would they bother?

MC are not playing in the same world that Disney is... Disney make their money from MC licensing their IP, and Disney will launch their streaming service at some point and be part of the reason MC eventually fails in SA.

When Disney first announced the Fox bid I assumed that Disney would use Hulu as their streaming service, but for branding purposes they want a family friendly Disney+.

You can watch Deadpool on Hulu or Hulu and chill, but not with Disney+

Disney is the dominant online streaming company in India after buying Hotstar from Fox. They have the exclusive rights for streaming the IPL in India

Eventually Disney would want to move into every market that Netflix is in. Purchasing Multichoice will be the quickest way to becoming the dominant player on the continent for both entertainment and sports overnight, with Naspers unbundling of them it's actually possible that this could happen

Let me rephrase that...

Disney didn't buy Hotstar. Fox (way back in the day under Rupert Murdoch) bought Star India (Hotstars parent company)... with the purchase of 21st Century Fox, Disney got Hotstar as part of that deal.

I still do not see how you think Disney would be interested in buying Multichoice.... with the launch of Disney+, Disney are poised to become number 2 or number 1 in the streaming space globally with zero need for acquisitions to make that happen. They own vast swathes of the core IP and can just let licensing deals expire before onboarding their own content into their platform in the various countries.

Anyone get disney+ working with smartdnsproxy, their twitter feed reckons it should be working.

Region D set to US
Flush DNS etc

Not working for me. Could subscribe to Disney+, but not able to watch anything yet.
