This must be a Openserve mistake?

There's been no official launch of a 1 Gbps FTTH product from Openserve. We have reached out to our KAM to confirm. There has, however, been an introduction of a 30 Mbps package coming soon.
Ooh that 30Mbps would be perfect for my MIL

even if you want the one for R1450 per month - whats with this R20k once off installation fee?

Looks like the 30/30 is out on Afrihosts side

How is CI generally more expensive than Afrihost
But with this particular package they come in cheaper

Tough decisions to make
Openserve is currently installing in the area and these 30mbps packages look great

Cool Ideas pricing on this package looks very tempting, till you realise how much they are going to shaft you when you want to upgrade

@Afrigirl I can't see 30/30 as an option when I go to change my OS package, when will it be added?
Hi,

I understand the package is live; however, we’ve not yet received any Terms & Conditions from the Fibre Ops team. They’ve informed us that they will advise us before the end of the day.

The 30 up/down packages look great. Wondering if openserve would ever consider a 20/10 package like they have on web connect. There's a few people on our property who would like that since the 30 Mbps packages are still quite pricey at almost R500/month.

I think its unlikely they'll go down any further

Didn't all FNOs phase out these lower speed packages?

Im assuming the only reason this 30/30 package was brought back was because of the increases Openserve did on the 1st of April
The barrier of entry into a pure fibre product is sitting at almost R700 for a 50mbps line at every ISP

A R500 entry point is a lot more palatable, although in a year they'll probably say this 30/30 promo is over and force you onto a higher tier package and there wont be a single thing you can do

Web Connect on the other hand is a very appealing product, but obviously to stop people from jumping to that they lock you in to a wifi only ont and apparently lock the lan ports so you cant even add your own additional hardware
