Had some red wine in a regular drinking glass. The little bit left in the glass had a few days to dry out in a draft-free area.
Anyone know what causes this pattern to form?

Not adding more wine?

You will meet someone tall, dark and handsome in the next few days. You will marry him and have three children. You will live happily ever after.

/avoids mention of The Grim

This proves the Flying Spaghetti Monster is real! Clearly that's an image of the deity, a divine message that wine goes well with spaghetti and meatballs

That shape reminds me of the patterns one gets through cymantics.

A little bit of swirling motion when you first set the glass down would have caused the particles to accumulate in that pattern (similar to ripples forming in the sand at the bottom of a river). Once the wine stopped flowing, the particles stayed where they were, and formed the pattern upon drying out.
