ya, so i hear that this violence has started in knysna, Somalis have gathered in the center of town, there are guns, and cops every where. 5 shops where burnt down ect.

Thats horrible, this country is going downhill way to damn fast :(

And I loved visitng that place

Not good. really not good. Was speaking to a colleague this morning after seeing the times heading of "violence spreads to cape town". It's quite interesting actually cause the first attacks happened in cape town a while ago when the somalies were being chased out of the townships cause they were selling goods at lower than the locals. The locals didnt want to compete aggressively with prices.......but rather with aggressive knopkieries :?

The sad thing is that if the goverment didnt have the open border policy/ or better immigration control then this situation wouldnt have happened(imho). One hopes that at least from this the goverment learns to police its borders better and stop the influx of africa into sa.

Another strange thing is that most of these attacks happened after "community meetings" ...... wish i knew who was organising these meetings. And does anybody know who this "third force" is?

hmm, lot of "" 's ;P

If it were not for the immigrants, these people would be burning down shops and government offices.
What is the real reason behind this? No jobs and high food prices. This would remain regardless of the immigrant problem - the immigrants are just a scapegoat.
