480p isn't bad, 720p buffers, Telkom, Mweb, IS you name the ISP it buffers.

I do not usually experience any buffering on 720p streams. I can even stream 1080p but all bandwith must be dedicated to the stream in that case.

Do you have any other devices using the internet while streaming? Are you streaming over WIFI or Ethernet?

Also, what are you live streaming? I could test on my side too see if it buffers.

Yeah streaming from twitch (mainly American streams) I can get some buffering when watching 1080p on my 10mb/s line. Pretty much everything else I can stream 1080p without any problems.

Streaming at 1080p causes buffering if there are other devices busy on wifi.
I usually change to 720p and then it runs smoothly. Sitting aways from tv I cannot even see the difference.

Guys I'm talking about 4meg line I usually stream football (premier league matches) on twitch and the 720p buffers currently on Vox so I needed to know if it's the same case with telkom? Even 480p buffers sometimes on vox, I'm using ethernet and no, no other devices currently use the Internet while I stream

I stream from DStv Now. No buffering on 4Mbps. Quality is extremely clear.
What quality you streaming? Can you go on strikeout.mobi stream one of the soccer matches in HQ it will show you HD select it and stream it tell me if it lags

It depends in what area. In some areas in the evening you get no speed. I can't even download emails. Off course Telkom comes back and test during the day and say there is nothing wrong and close the fault. I have been battling for 2 months.
This is a 4 meg line uncapped.

That doesn't look good at all. Have you tested for congestion? If so, you should keep the results as evidence to prove it to them, that how I got them to upgrade the area to VDSL.

That's a twitch issue.

Download Streamlink and Streamlink Twitch GUI.

Once both are installed open Streamlink Twitch GUI - Settings - Enable advanced settings.

Now go to the third tab, it should be called Streamlink, set the stream type to rtmp and HLS segments to 10.
