Hey Guys,

Hisense E2371 Sero7 LE 7" WiFi 8GB White Tablet

  • 7"
  • 8GB Memory (up to 32GB MicroSD)
  • 1GB RAM
  • RK3026 Dual Core ARM Cortex-A9, 1.0GHz
  • Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n (2.4G)
  • Android KitKat 4.4

Going for R999.00 at Makro and Kalahari

What are your thoughts on the this tablet, the price is really good and it will only be used for Kindle App, music and web browsing.

Link to the Hisense Tablet

Would you recommend this over the 8" Windows Nextbook?

The Apps I need:

  • Deezer
  • Kindle App
  • Web Browser
  • Skype

Would greatly appreciate your assistance with regards to your thoughts on this device.

Hisense 7" Tablet or Windows Nextbook 8" Tablet?

Cheers!

The sero 8 model is a lot better than sero 7.I dont suggest windows tablet,if you intend on playing games or downloading many apps.Get the vodacom lenovo smart tab 3 for 999(phone as many stores as possible and check game/makro).If you are willing to spend 1500 ,buy an Asus fonepad but buy the me175cg model and use a R100 kalahari voucher. The fonepad is a decent tablet and has a sim slot

I recently went through the whole process of buying a pad. Also had a look at the Hisense specs which seems like a good option. Vodacom doesn't have any stock of their tab so that didn't work out. Settled for the Asus Fonepad, as astroiboi suggested, which I'm very happy with, R1 500 at Dion-Wired. The only downside to these sub R2000 tabs is that the screens are not IPS and there for viewing angles and sunlight readability aren't so good, also stuttering when you scroll, don't know if that's just Android. I was also considering the Nextbook but many complained about the screen. Proline sells a Windows tab with IPS display for R2000 at Incredible. Much better to spend a bit extra, I have a IPS monitor and two phones with IPS and it makes a huge difference. I specifically wanted a Android pad with phone abilities that's why I went for the Asus, otherwise I would've bought the Proline.

Thanks for the replies guys.

So would you recommend the Nextbook 8" then, Its only as I say used for

I tested one out in-store and I was unimpressed. The display had some lag and it blurred when scrolling. i rather went for the Galaxy tab 4 for R3000 at Dion Wired. The next best deal would have been the Lenovo A5500 for R2600 and the best of the basic tabs would be the Asus FonePad and the Lenovo in that price range.

Search the forums for Nextbook threads, the screen and limited 8GB memory are the biggest downside. The Proline is also a Windows tab but with 16gb memory and a far better screen. On the other hand, if your budget is R1500, go for the Nextbook ;0)
