Thoughts on Opel Corsa Enjoy

So I see that GM handed over Opel to the Williams Hunt group. I'm considering the Opel Corsa Enjoy and wanted to test drive it this weekend at one of the WH dealerships, but was quite disheartened when noticing their hellopeter rating, which is...well....terrible. Any experience/thoughts/advice on the Corsa Enjoy and WH dealerships in general? I'll also be test driving the Kia Rio and Renault Clio 66kw expression too, so as not to put all my eggs in one basket.

CMH is also running some Opel dealerships, so you not stuck with only going to Williams Hunt

There's only one in Gauteng it seems, in East Rand which is a bit of a drive from me in PTA :/
 
I have heard people complaining about pretty much any dealership, so I don't think it's worth basing your decision on just on Hellopeter.

Have a Kia myself. The specific dealer I deal with now are much more bearable to deal with, however past experience has left a sour taste. I tolerate them. A friend of mine drives an older generation Clio and I have heard strange stories about Renault from him.

IMO, get the car you are happiest with. If a specific dealer gives you trouble, kick up a fuss and / or go to a different one.
 
Yeah I reckon buy the car...not the dealership.

There are more than enough options for you to take the car to down the line if you aren't happy with service.
 
I drive a 2010 Corsa and I have gone to Williams Hunt for every service since I got the car (2011).

I find their services to be expensive when I compare the cost of my annual service to my brother's service costs on his Polo with the VW agents.

As for actual service, I can only compliment them. They're efficient and communicate with you throughout the day. A little bit of an anecdote; My car developed a rough idle, had a strong petrol smell and the engine light came on. On the way home from work I pulled in to Williams Hunt and asked if I could speak to one of their mechanics/technicians. I actually got the service manager instead, he asked me what the car was doing, told me to pull it in to their workshop and asked one of the mechanics to quickly plug it in to a diagnostic machine. Mechanic had a look, told me to clean the throttle body and if that didn't work I should bring it back. This was at 16:45 in the afternoon and they were willing to help me. I cleaned the throttle body and the car was 100%.

I quite like the Corsa E tbh. Good 1L T motor, good build & ride, good NVH levels. Good engineering underneath. Decent value considering.

My main gripes:

- Exterior styling starting to look dated & side mounted indicator repeaters mounted on the fender is off putting. (I'm aware an all-new model is not far off.)

- Rear legroom could be better.

- Infotainment system is just placed too low down. An oversight more than anything else. Only vehicle that has a worse infotainment system position is the Duster.
