Hi Guys,

Looking at getting a new TV -

- LG 55" 55UJ620
- Hisense 65" Smart UHD LED 65N3000UW

I know very little about UHD and what is good and what isn't...

Thanks.

What i did when buying a tv was to put some 4K content on a USB stick, like a scene from Transformers and play it on my options for tv's and the Hisense looked much better than the LG.

I thought only Samsungs support DTS.

Different TVs, different price points and different performance.

There is R5k between the N3000 and the M7000, not much for a much better TV.

And as for LG, wouldn't touch another one not after the bad bleed experiences.

Samsung UA49MU7351 49" UHD 4K Curved TV, Is this proper HDR?
No.
Samsung MU8000 and above including the QLED series are proper HDR.

LG Super UHD and their OLEDs are proper HDR

Hisense ULED series is proper HDR.

You will be able to find a Hisense 55 inch M7000 ULED for Around the same price as the Hisense you mentioned in your original post.

Thanks very much, sorry for the no doubt retarded questions.

Look at the type of dimming they offer - local dimming (which is the better one) or edge dimming - and their maximum brightness. Read about any complaints from users online.

We have a LG that runs out of memory whenever I watch longish HD YouTube videos via the browser. It's fine when I watch via the YouTube app but you can't change the video resolution, though, that shouldn't be a problem if you have a fast internet connection. Its storage is tiny too.
