Thoughts on this idea to reduce power bill?

Mine uses 230kWh / year. Its about 80% of my "base load" hehe.

Most of the other stuff is 5w odd each (camera's)

I was actually browsing your site last night and saw u mentioned how hard it was to find info on how much appliances can draw.

Would u say the usage rating on your fridge is correct now that u had it for some time?
 
Analysis of mine on idle seems that it using around 50w 50% of the time on and off. So call it 25w averaged out running 24/7.
Modern fridges have dropped power consumption a great deal. My dad bought a flat in Seapoint which had a 20 year old Sharp fridge, the previous owners was the type that does not remove the promotional stickers. It was boasting its low power efficiency of only 2500kwh per year.

Its a bit of a lie. If its set to 8c then yes, but then nothing in the fridge is cold. Uses 10-20% more on progressively colder settings, so not overly above. I still need to collate data though.
