Three Arrested for East Rand Robbery

Three men have been arrested for robbing a business in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni metro police said on Thursday.

Chief Superintendent Vusi Mabanga said officers saw one of the three men flash something hidden under his shirt to two friends on Wednesday afternoon.

"Surprisingly, a 9mm pistol with serial number filed-off was hidden under the suspect's shirt," said Mabanga.

Police searched the other two and found they had two unlicensed firearms, and a bundle of unused air-time vouchers.

Mabanga said the men confessed to robbing a business in Tsakane on Tuesday. They were arrested and would appear in the Brakpan Magistrate's Court on Friday.
