Three lithium-ion battery technologies explained

While the lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery has become the undisputed king of energy storage in South Africa, many people may not be aware that not all these batteries are made equally.

Depending on the various aspects of the battery's design — including the materials used for its cathode or anode — it may offer very different performance and safety characteristics.

Okay. Where can one buy a LTO battery?

Encouraging to see the safety and durability of the LTO Batteries, Would have been nice if a price comparison had been added. On the safety side it would be nice to see the LTO batteries either becoming widely accepted or even mandated as the minimum requirement in most products. Lithium ion based fires have become more prevalent with both the UK and Us reporting an increase from 1 to 3 runaway battery fires per week, which of course could, in my opinion, be the result of cheaper less safe technology being used.
