Throttled Night data?

Since TM changed the night shift times, I've started downloading in the morning. This morning I started a download which i was going to pause and finish tomorrow, it was cruising at around 300kb/s. Then at exactly 7am as I'm about to pause it, it shoots up to 1mb/s??? I was so shocked that I just let it finish, and it maintained that speed.

Has anyone else noticed something similar? Or was it just a once off coincidence

Maybe it's because there are a lot of other users who do exactly the same as you? :p

Post a tracert just before 7am, could be Thor congesting the exchange.
No, but there are a lot of people using night surfer and webafrica's 50TB night data which could lead to congested exchanges, so just post a tracert.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see that it was in the Mobile Internet section. Your tower is congested then.

Maybe the ISPs should provision their data correctly so that lots of user don't bork the line.

I suspect the lines are maxed out from all the downloads and torrents running, so not much that provisioning will do.

Also, you can schedule all your downloads, etc. nowadays, which makes it so much more convenient.

Why are we as a consumer expected to schedule downloads on a system that we pay for?
The ISPs are fully to blame for their lack of infrastructure.

Lucky you. In PE, in the Greenacres area, and most nights I can't stream video. It's been like this for months now.
