Thugs read from Bible during hijack

A spokesperson for the SA Silver Ring Thing (SA SRT) group yesterday said they were hijacked by seven men near Walkerville, and driven around Johannesburg.

The men took cellphones and valuables from the team.

“(The hijackers) then drove around the area for some time, offering the team water and even reading a Bible belonging to one of the team members, quoting them scriptures and phrases like ‘God helps those who help themselves’.”

Luckily they got out of the situation alive.

Me wonders: Would they have gotten away alive if they informed the hijackers that the phrase does NOT appear in the Bible?
