I can't seem to get a thumbnail-type dropdown on any of the Mac apps when selecting pictures. There are only filenames in various degrees but you have to preview the files one by one.

Surely there is an easier way to see them all at once?

Highlight them all in the finder and open them in preview? Otherwise you can switch to column view and it shows you a preview of each file.

Go to 'Finder/View/Show view options' and then turn on 'Show icon preview'.

This feature is hidden a bit, but it comes along with a load of funky customizations you can do to Finder windows to really personalize your desktop and organize files.

Thanks people. used CS3 Bridge yesterday for previews but will try the Finder settings tonight.
