Like I said thumbs up to mtn for eventually solving a very annoying problem for me.
the problem was I kept getting drop calls, bad reception, network errors on my nokia 6110 phone, but wait there's more, my Internet connection which is via e220 was simply trash. It suffered from dropped connections & very slow download speeds, as slow as 7kbps!!!!!
and not anywhere near 7.2mbps (yeah right like we ever going to get that speed). F$#% my 57k dialup was faster man 
So as I firmly believe that "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" I bitched at mtn a few times, yes I said a few times cause it was always MY FAULT that my nokia6110 did not work properly or MY FAULT my MTN E220 faulty or MY PC was faulty. Well eventually they logged a complaint and sent a techie out to investigate the next day.
turns out that I am between 2 towers!! 1 in Montague Gardens and Killarney Gardens, and this is causing the phone & e220 to get confused as what tower it is connected to? (does that make sense)
So the techie installed a yagi aerial aligned to Killarney gardens and instantly my e220 showed 5 bars on HSDPA
and that's were it stays every time I logon
Now I can leave it on all day without a hassle
. I CAN ACTUALLY DO BUSINESS NOW!!
Also he switched my cell phone to GSM mode and that help alot with dropped calls. When I use the yagi aerial on my Nokia6110 I don't have this problem at all.
Now thumbs down for the crap way mtn handles DATA bundles!!!
