Thursday 7th: UUNET speeds

I'm getting about 6K instead of my usual 40K. Hows everyone else experiancing things?

Not my speed is definetly not normal. It's my second week on the UUNET backbone and I am dissappointed. FTP speed very bad - try the telkom ftp speedtest - (local!!!!) and see what I mean.

Where can I get a fast reliable UNCAPPED internet service?

Killadoob, 60 is impossible on even Telkom's 512K ADSL... the best you would be looking at would be 54KB/s.

Strange i was getting 20K/s on FTP download this morning at 05H00, about. So it is possible to get more than 5K/s when they take the limiter off.

telkom speedtest wont report accurately since its single threaded..

uunet still seems to be on around 5k per thread
