I see TI has an option to cap usage to the X gb included. How reliable is that limiter?

How reliable is Telkom?

Have never tested that limiter and never intend to either. I always stop short at about 0.5-1GB from the limit.

Yeah it doesn't work unfortunately, given that they apparently charge for overuse of the local portion

It is *supposed* to work. Did you actually try it, or are you just making assumptions?

If you did try it, and it didn't work, please report it to [email protected] (and PM me the ticket number you get back).

As far as I know, it is supposed to ensure that you are not billed for anything more than the cap you choose.

If it doesn't, that is a bug ...

Ah, ok well that explains it. From what I understood, it was supposed to hard-cap you once you reach your local allocation, to PREVENT you from going over that limit and being billed? It didn't hard-cap my local in that way, HOWEVER as far as I could see, I was not billed for going the gigabyte or two over the limit, so I guess it's working then (because I was not billed)? Is that what you meant? I'm happy with it staying like that =)
