Hi everyone.

Okay, so I've been reading a lot about people complaining about MWeb throttling. So now I can't choose between Telkom Internet and Afrihost.

I will be moving into a complex at the end of November and I would like to have at least a 2mbps line(uncapped).

I'm a student so I will be using Youtube a lot, as well as gaming and downloading. What would be the best ISP to go for?

Thanks in advance!

Go with Afrihost. The pain of dealing with Telkom for support issues is too much

Telkom, robust network and best user experience

I'm on Mweb. 2Mbps uncapped unthrottled @ R599 data and line included.
No sign of throttling yet. Been with them about 15 years. Zero problems.
I'm not the heaviest of downloaders though, averaging about 100gig per month.
I do play online games (COD, etc) every day and do quite a bit of youtubing.

I downloaded less than that on average and was kicked to the kerb.

To the OP, at this point I would recommend TI. AH shaping has been pathetic the last 2 months. I'm considering moving myself.

I was on AH and it was OK, ended up upgrading to a business package but it was not worth the cost. I'm now on TI and with my 25% discount for staying with them for the next 12 months, my 2Mbps line & data is R350, not to mention that it will be 4Mbps next week :)

I only find torrents to be terrible but I suspect the line speed migration is the cause.
