I saw on the Bulls website now that the only South Africans that will be able to watch the Lions on Loftus will be season ticket holders! They said that no ticket will be made available to the public.

I you want to renew your season ticket, it will set you back R2200 for the main pavillion. The reason they say it it so high is becuase they value the Lions ticket at R1 140.

I really think that SA Rugby should be ashamed of themselves!! What does it help the boks play and their own supporters will not be allowed to buy tickets for their games?

I wish the bulls will start to realise that everything does evolve around money and that you need your supporters to be able to get some money in. The blue bulls must be the mos greedy franchise in the country - by a mile!!

And what about the rest of the loftus stadium, surely some areas are not for season ticket holders, like the nose bleed sections, will these seats just sit empty?

Not a single ticket will be sold to the public. If you are a season ticket holder, then you are entitled to your seat, all other ticket will be sold to Lions supporter's I suppose, because they specifically said that no tickets will be sold to the public.

Lions supporters. They estimate a minimun of 50 000 supporters to be travling with the team. SARU said that there is not enough tickets available for all the supporters that will be travling with the team.

I really can not see that happening .....

The WC soccer IIRC is suppose to bring 1mil people with it....

50000/1 000 000 = 5%

Now to me that is way to big for a lion's fans tour group....

But thats just me. And if it is the case it is Fscked up!

Well go read it for yourself. I heard the other day that all tickets for the lions tour would be priced > R1000. If you can afford that, go for it, but I can't and even if I can, its not worth it!

you must remember that lions tours only happen once every 12 years to this country so believe me, those tickets will be sold out! and it's not only the bulls franchise, here in durbs the tickets are selling for well over R1k and you can either buy your season ticket with a lions ticket or without.

Also did anyone watch the lions tour to NZ 4 years ago, it was mad!! there are more lions supporters there than anyone else, wait and see, our stadiums are going to be painted red by these guys :D

Tickets will be available for the public.

The union revealed that 22% of tickets for the tests are reserved for fans from the UK and Ireland and announced a structure aimed at rewarding regular supporters of the game.

Tickets will be made available in two phases - first to season ticket and suite holders and then to the general public.

Lions tickets

But ja, I don't see the justification for tickets being +R1K.

**bump**

To everybody that said that some ticket will be made available. Sorry but you were wrong.

On Monday, the Blue Bulls Rugby Union confirmed [in an internal meating] that no tickets for the Loftus game will be made available to the South African public. If you are one of the lucky few who can afford your season ticket, then you would be able to watch the game otherwise you would need to tune into Super Sport for that game.

Not even people that have a box on Loftus would be able to use it. SA Rugby is selling those tickets also.
