TICSA vs MTN Network on Axxess Internet

So I just noticed when doing speedtests, im sometimes connected to TICSA while other times its connected to the normal MTN network axxess is using.

Whenever its connected to TICSA im getting the normal high speeds (2.60-3.50mbps) on my 4mbps axxess account.

Though when its connected to MTN network its slow as hell (0.40-0.90mbps) On my 4mbps account.

What is TICSA anyway? And why is MTN so slow?

TICSA appears to be the old Verizon which MTN bought, you're getting an IP address that used to belong to them that's why speed test sites will sometimes incorrectly report that.

The MTN network is slow due to congested IPC, Telkom will only be activating more capacity for them next year when they come out of their network freeze period.
