Let's say I fell under the proverbial bus tomorrow.

There's a lot of ' stuff ' on my pc I wouldn't want anyone to access - nothing illegal, just ' historical stuff '.

Is there any software out there that will nuke files/folders/drives should you not check-in after X amount of hours ?

Get Universal Shield - won't nuke the 'stuff' but will keep them private even in safe mode. Can encrypt the really private 'stuff' to hide from low-level hard drive scanners too.

No password = your secret's safe even after your meeting with da bus.

Yo dawg, I heard you like security so I put a TrueCrypt hidden volume inside your TrueCrypt hidden volume, so you can have security while you have security.

:D:D:D Excellent application of meme.

Plus its solid advice too.

I heard a better one on Slashdot, in an article about the TSA safety checks and resultant queues for security:

"Yo dawg, I heard you like security, so I put a queue inside your queue so you can queue while you queue." :)

As Keeper said, very easy to create but what happens when Eskom prevents you from "checking in"?

Download a copy of TrueCrypt which sllows you to create encrypted virtual harddrive partitions for sensitive stuff. It's free and easy to use.
