Trendnet replied and advised the following.
1. Log into router
2. Enter Setup
3. Click on time & date, select time zone, select enable
4. For the servers use the following addresses
5. 0.africa.pool.ntp.org
6. 1.africa.pool.ntp.org
7. Click Apply
It worked but what a palaver.
