Time for a authenticator

So, I got a email a short while ago stating that someone changed my password via the battle.net site and a minute later a email that my account was locked due to suspicious activity.

So, how much do these authenticator's cost around here?
 
Not sure if you can have it shipped to SA.

I use the mobile authenticator from blizzard for iphone. I know you also get it for other phones.

I just sent 2 of them from the UK to a friend of mine that couldn't get it shipped to SA.

He paid around R120 per authenticator incl. airmail shipping from me to him in PTA.

I just downloaded the mobile authenticator for Android, it's free but it seems you might have to pay for the software on some of the phones
 
Be aware that I have recieved many emails like that and there is no problem with my account. Those emails are phising emails, if you are unsure, log into your account managment page and check the status of your account.

Blizzard would use your username in an email and not your email address or IP.
 
In that case I hope they locked your account before it was cleaned out too badly.
 
nothing seems missing, so I guess they locked it when they noticed something strange going on with someone trying to change my password. I was also logged into wow when it happened.
 
Strange I had the exact same experience.Account was locked for a day and everything went back to normal.

Oh....then I got bored and quit.

WHy would anyone honestly waste thier time with an Authenticator, so what if your account gets hacked and you lose your chars and items.Everything is restorable.Blizzard has backups of everything.You might miss a few days of WoW while they restore your characters and items..so what.

An Authenticator is just one step too far I am not willing to take for an online game...seriously.

FSCK. I just got home and realized that all my gold and most of my gear is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully Blizzard can sort it out quickly.
