Time for the snip.

So 2 years later and finally got it done.

All in all it hasn't been that bad. Saw the urologist last Friday, had the op today.

Worst part so far was the waiting. Arrived at hospital just before 6:30am and only went into theater at about 12:30. Came to again at about 13:45 and left hospital at 14:45.

Pain isn't as bad yet as I expected, could just be the meds still working though.

Now to wait the 3 months for final tests.

Well it is surgery, apparently there is a no scalpel method but my urologist did it in theatre. You can choose to do it with anesthesia or just local

Yip the pain is not bad at all. I did mine about 2 years ago.. and I was surprised no pain.

Best thing I ever did, was removing my "firing pin"

reading back on this thread, and I cant help but laugh.

had the procedure done on the third of this month.
did require a lot of hoops to get the medical aid to pay for it.

but I am not just waiting for the "all clear" from the doc in a few weeks to make sure I am indeed firing blanks

Did mine back in Feb. Hardest part was convincing them that I really wanted one(30 years old with no kids).

Was easy and relatively painless.
