Hey guys

My parents have a HD decoder. They phoned and asked me if there is a way to shift to a specified time or just fast forward faster when watching something you have recorded.

Now I have absolutely no idea as I never watch TV let alone recorded shows on them decoders.

So is it possible? Must be crap to stop something half way just to fast forward through half of it the next day at a very slow pace.

When you stop a recording on replaying it asks you if you want to resume or restart

Push the yellow button while playing a recording to bring up the time bar, from there you can skip forward a few minutes at a time with the FF button, or to the end of the show with the right arrow button. Push yellow button again to remove bar from screen

And as D3x says it will ask if you want to resume. They can also set bookmarks in the recording by pushing the blue button while the time bar is up

Ask them if they lost the manual ;)

+1 for the yellow button. Can also pause then press fast forward once for fast, twice for faster, three for fastest etc. Indicated by number of green arrows on screen.

Yeah the yellow button helps a lot, their new favourite toy.
