Time sync problem in Windows 7

I'm running windows 7 pro on a mecer centrino laptop, 1gb ram

The laptop starts up displaying the correct time but doesn't seem to keep track and seems to almost lose time?
Over the space of an hour is our of sync by almost 20min?

I was stumped by this at first, but may have figured it out now - its a mecer. Whatever component is responsible for keeping time has let out the magic smoke. Otherwise its a space time anamoly, take your pick.

Going to try reinstall XP and see what happens, google came back with a few issues in Vista

Just use NTP to sync your clock to a time server.
