Time to installation

It's been a while since I've dealt with Telkom. Had an adsl line 3 years ago, and it took about 2 weeks to install. (Then had to give it up cause I moved to a complex where phone lines weren't available, now I'm moving back to a complex with telkom infrastructure, and am looking forward to putting my Sentech modem in the cupboard!)

Just wanted to know what the waiting times are like now in the Cresta area, if anybody knows!

We want 5GB unshaped bandwidth for the same or less what we pay Sentech (R699 per month).

Neotel does not allow sharing the "device". iBurst and 3G are too expensive.

Hence, Telkom ADSL. What are the waiting times?

For that matter, dr_phalange didn't mention that we have a Linksys WRT54GL router. We need a drop-in replacement of the Sentech modem via an Ethernet cable. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend another R700 on another wireless router with 4 Ethernet ports, because I already have one.

An update...

It took Telkom 7 weeks to install a line...it took 2 days to activate the adsl.
