Timed Connections??

Is it possible that a proggie exists to connect and disconnect your adsl line at user specified times.

Thing is - don't want to leave connection on 24/7 for a number of reasons

Any help appreciated

The router should have an idle timeout setting in it's webadmin.

No really looking for idle time control - rather to control the connection from eg On at 08h00 and off at 18h00

Instead of a proggie, go buy a cheap electrical switch timer and use it on your power supply to the router (that is, if you're using a router - if not, ignore advice)...
