Basically a timed demo is a demo that can only be played during a certain window of opportunity like steam's something-x festival. Another version is that you can only play the demo for a set amount of time and it literally removes itself.

I'm not a fan of this. In fact, I find this silly up to retarded to say the least. Why as a developer would you use your demos as a hype building tool, it is not building hype it is building anti-hype and of course you are encouraging finding it at other places. Like with Graven I got the demo from the pirate buy; kudus to the devs and these practices.

So I'm either full of **** or just too old school for this NuDemo kak.

Pretty much the best way possible for me to not ever buy your game.

In fact I feel all digital stores should make a demo mandatory for all games before they are allowed to be listed.

That why the old Xbox Live arcade was so cool because every game was a trial that then unlocked into the full game.

I bought so many more games purely because of that model.

Well you can buy it on steam and refund within 14days or 2hours of playtime. Alternatively, there's Fitgirl...

Until steam says **** you. The refund system as per their TOS is not a demo system and should not be used as such as they can flag you.
