Tips to Boost your eBucks

I'm getting about eB12,000 a month since January. With a 40% discount that's worth R2,000 a month.

I'm happy, not going anywhere!

Unfortunately there is the Checkers cap (now 20% of total spend) or else I would have moved my Woolies food shopping to Checkers as well, then I would have doubled that!

I think if people want to change banks because of the ebucks perk ... sjoe. Think your bank must work in much more than only rewards (that is my view). I agree with you BIO ... FNB rocks ... even if they change the perks yearly, and we are getting less and less !

I got the marketing enabled via my private banker today. She reckons it's worth 4000 points but the calculator on bucks website says 1000.

But she's enabled contact via telephone, sms, cell phone email and snail mail. I've a feeling this could get a bit annoying :D

Exactly, FNB and "partners". I asked for email only and there is no such option. I'll see how it goes and cancel if I don't need the points and they call to much. Hopefully they honour the do no call list ...

How many ebucks did you earn this month. I noticed my ebucks for this month are cut in half. Time to cancel all my cards and move to another bank.. It isn't worth the banking fees I pay for this crap.

Noticed on my rewards level the following isn't ticked.
Spend at least R500 per month with your FNB Gold Cheque Card and / or Gold Credit Card(spent over R30 000) time to leave.

Or maybe it's time to upgrade to private wealth.

Ebucks reward level = 5 (18 000 points)
Product = Private Clients
Ebucks earned = +- 19 000eB (used to averaged around 25k before the last round of changes)
Value gained = About R3 000 in discount vouchers + R399 for uncapped 6mbps ADSL

Notice the transaction below going off my CC this month and seems to be related to Ebucks?

You have to play by the rules... if you arent prepared to play... or it becomes too difficult.. then move along..

I got 22k in ebucks, and all came through like clockwork... and im making sure i stay on RL5 by doing "more" than i have to. Why? 22k at the very least is R2200 paid into a flexi deposit account OR its vouchers! This far outweighs the rewards i was getting from all other loyalty programs...
(NOTE - i do do Vitality Healthy food /gear / care. And all of these are an added bonus to my ebucks)

I was able to do this at Sportsmans. You'll have to test it out at Dis-Chem for us :). I'm going to activate that on Discovery and make them my preferred partner too. Their website is pretty decent at letting one know what is listed at HealthyCare stuff, in store too.

Clicks' website not so much, likewise in store last I was there. Nothing worse than playing find the easter egg / trying to figure out what qualifies at HC items.

Yea going to order vouchers tomorrow...

Someone from FNB did contact me today regarding the Ebucks fee, apparently they charge you the R16.50 and then refund you the R16.50.

I think its for accounting purposes. If they don't bill the fee and apply refund, their books wouldn't reflect the value of these transactions.

Oh ok. So they might actually bill for it in future then when they see enough growth.

I would have thought that the deduction is going from us to ebucks, then FNB refund us. I think that's what they also do with the SLOW lounges at the airports for example.
