Join the club. Average earn before the changes was eB20 000. This month I'm on level 1 and only received eB1500. I put in a request on 19/09/2014 to have my Private clients credit card downgraded to platinum in order to have both cards on the same colour. This was not done and FNB has no reason why it was not processed.
I have requested that my downgrade be backdated to the original date and that my ebucks level and points be recalculated based on both credit and cheque accounts being on the same level.
I'm no letting them get away with this.
Yep, going to either downgrade cheque to gold or upgrade the credit card to platinum, must just see which is the better option.
To hit the cap on fuel at lv5 you would need to spend 3000 bucks on petrol. Not a lot, but at least not something unreasonably lowI think these are the limits for gold, have not reached them but if I do then will have to look at it, the fuel is low. But if I want to go back to platinum then have to change things around again.
Max limits
Shopping: CC swipes eB5 000
Shopping: Cheque swipes eB5 000
Online CC NA
Online Cheque NA
Internation shopping CC NA
International shopping ChequeNA
Fuel eB4 500
Checkers eB10 000
Prepaid Electricity eB1 000
Prepaid Airtime eB750

How much would you need to hit the cap on lv1?
Has anyone opened a Global Account to get that extra 3000 points?
I opened a euro account, which was really easy online, but transferring funds to it is turning out to be a little more complicated than I expected. First you need to select a reason for the transaction, all of which are individual or foreign investment reasons. Apparently the reason does not matter much, so I would just choose Other and consider it a sort of European holiday savings account.
Once you select a reason, you need to provide your tax clearance certificate number. I was under the impression that the individual discretionary allowance is R1-million and you don't need a TCC for that. Leaving the field blank doesn't work, seems to be required. OK, so get a TCC? Nice, it's free and you just apply for it with SARS. The form asks for your investment amount and expected return, which I can't really guess. At this point I started thinking that just getting this for some ebucks points isn't worth the hassle. Also, I seem to have some studying to do regarding Forex in general.
If using the R1-mil Annual Discretionary Allowance for Investment Purposes:
No documentation is required. However, please note the following:
You may not exceed the limits set by the SARB. This includes the Investment Limit and the annual forex Discretionary Limit specified by SARB from time to time. If using the Annual Discretionary Allowance (for investment purposes) to fund your FNB Global Account, please note the Discretionary Allowance also covers matters such as travel, gifts, etc. and you may not exceed your annual Discretionary Allowance Limit specified by SARB.
I had a chat with the FNV Forex - 0860 1 FOREX (36739)
You need to choose "512-07 Foreign investments - Other" and then the tax clearance certificate number field is not required to be filled.
I made a USD inter-account transfer yesterday, and it was processed and reflecting on my account today.
Thank you for that!! Will definitely make it easier when I want to do it.I had a chat with the FNV Forex - 0860 1 FOREX (36739)
