I will be so pee'ed off!!! I filled with fuel and bought gas at the same time- I made a big scene about paying at my car for my petrol and paying inside the shop for my gas- blabbing about my ebucks when the manager came over and said I will still get my ebucks if I pay inside so I did. I got 2 slips, one for my total out of the card machine and another he printed separately for my petrol. LOL, I will vloek him so bad if I don't get my ebucks.

Doesn't have to be the POS, as long as your receipt shows fuel (& a lot of the garages still do it properly in store, with it being recorded as a fuel transaction) you'll get your fuel earn.

Im not sure- Have attached my receipts. I don't see my fuel on my card slip..only on the separate slip he printed for me>?

EDIT: nervemind.. I'm going blind. It's on the top left of the 1st recipt. You're all good.

Eish.. that doesn't look good. No "itemized billing" on the petrol receipt.

Same here, got a separate invoice similar to yours itemizing the fuel transaction. I might just wait until the 9th when eBucks are allocated to see if things reflect automatically. My banker said, "Please advise once transaction has been debited from credit card then we can escalate dispute to ebucks department."

Ahh lol..thanks so much!!! Would have been furious because this would have been the second time I have done this- the first time I didn't know about the "must use the pos on the forecourt." :)

Ooh ok..i will also check. I only got the fuel slip because I asked for it else all I would have had was my card slip.
 
What recourse do we have for them using the incorrect card machine?

Well, same here. Had to get the invoice the next day as it was my old man whose card the transaction was on and he didn't know any better.

Will feedback once I see how following this up on my side goes. The transaction may have been categorised correctly OR it may require human intervention. Might have to wait till the 9th to find out.

And lastly. Anyone with City Power that have switched over to prepaid? What are the steps to follow and at what cost?

EDIT: Found this but it seems like it's jumping through too many hoops and just a source of frustration :( Would be cool if FNB had someone that could help us but suppose that's wishful thinking.

It doesn't come through, I just checked my Jan statement and saw that my first double purchase for gas and petrol was in Jan (I did the exact same thing by buying gas and fuel and swiping inside) and I calculated my rand spend/ebucks and it didn't include my R300 fuel for that purchase. In fact, on my statement it comes through as a purchase but all the other times I just got fuel and swiped on the forecourt, it actually says FUEL Rxxx amount on my statement. I will lodge a dispute thanks to the fact I asked for the slip this time.

Im also going to avoid using this petrol station for fuel now, the manager should have just let me pay the way I wanted to instead of making me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about- especially since he prolly banks with absa :p
